CBA Dean strengthens linkages with Siam University

Dr. Wilfredo D. Carreon, Jr., Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) strengthened Jose Rizal Memorial State University’s (JRMSU’s) ties with Bangkok, Thailand’s Siam University (SU) during his one–on–one meeting with Dr. Ruben Umaly, Director of International Relations in Siam University on June 22–26 of the current year.

According to Dr. Carreon, the partnership made with Siam University would benefit JRMSU in many ways especially for the students enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism (BST) programs.

“HRM and tourism students who will opt to do their on-the- job training (OJT) in Bangkok will have a one-week training under Siam University professors. These trainee-students will be performing authentic tasks and duties needed in their workplace. And such training could surely  make HRM and tourism students of JRMSU competent employees in their field,” Dr. Carreon stated.

The dean further noted that these students will experience working in one of the famous hotels in Thailand particularly the Bangkok’s Five-star Hotel.

As of now, JRMSU and Siam University are still working on this partnership and eventually redound to signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
